Our story, that of Adelina Balbuena Ramírez and Thomas Caparo, the owners of Hotel Ábaco in Altea, is one filled with dedication and effort, and we hope it inspires all those who dream of turning their passion into a lifelong project. Since we decided to embark on this journey, our goal has been clear: to create a unique space that reflects our commitment to hospitality and to providing unforgettable experiences.
As alumni of Les Roches, one of the most prestigious schools in the world for hospitality education, we were trained to bring attention to detail, exceptional service, and a genuine connection with our guests to the highest level. Today, with great pride, we can say that we have made that dream a reality: Hotel Ábaco is the materialisation of everything we learned at that school and everything we love about this sector.

After spending some time working in luxury tourism in the Seychelles, we decided to change the course of our lives and manage a small bed and breakfast in Altea, owned by Thomas's family. This allowed us to enjoy a slower pace of life, reconnect with our roots, and experience the satisfaction of building something of our own that we see grow every day.
This decision gave birth to Hotel Ábaco, a small but elegant boutique hotel that reflects our passion for the hospitality and tourism industries. The evolution and growth of Hotel Ábaco has paralleled our personal and professional growth, which is deeply connected to our time at Les Roches, whose teachings have left their mark on our project.
